1. Jesus takes the role of a servant and washes' his disciples feet. He tells them that he has set an example for them that they should follow. Jesus then tells them, "A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved ou, so you must love one another. By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another." vs. 12-15, 34-35

2. Jesus treated his disciples with great love and care. He did not make them serve him, but showed them that life is found in serving others. Jesus taught them by sharing, modeling, and then explaining.

3. I can be a servant leader, where I put others before myself. I can show that I am a disciple of Jesus by the way that I love people.
