1. Jesus heals a man who has been blind since he was born and explains that they man was born blind so that God could be revealed in his life. vs. 3-7

2. Jesus had compassion on the man born blind and showed grace to the man by healing him.

3. I can have compassion on people and be gracious with them. I can show God's goodness to other people by the way that I treat them.

1. The Pharisees threww the man out of the church. This was basically like destroying everything the blind man lived for-the church was his life. "Jesus heard that they had thrown him out, and when he found him, he said, "Do you believe in the Son of Man?"(John 9:35) The bible says, "when he found him". This means that Jesus went looking for him, knowing that the man was probably upset.

2. Jesus comforts the man after he was thrown out from the church. He understood that he was upset and gave the man hope by revealing his identity to him.

"Who is he, sir?" the man asked. "Tell me so that I may believe in him."

Jesus said, "You have now seen him; in fact, he is the one speaking with you."

Then the man said, "Lord, I believe," and he worshiped him." (John 9:36-38)

3. I can comfort those around me when I know they are in need of hope. I can have patience and go out of my way to "find them" and have them know that I am there for them.
