1. Jesus was there at the beginning of all things and everything was made through him. John 1:1

2. Jesus came to be with people and show them that they can be Children of God. He told people the truth about God. John 1:9, 12-13

3. I can look at people as having value and dignity because they are made by God. When talking with people I can tell them the truth.

1. John's diciples ask Jesus where he is staying. Instead of simply telling them where, Jesus commands John's diciples: "Come," he replied, "and you will see." John 1:39
Jesus also commands Philip to follow him. It's interesting to me that it says, "Finding Philip, he said to him, 'Follow me.'" The way it says, "Finding Philip..." makes me think that Jesus was on a mission. He was intentionally searching for Philip. John 1:43 Philip had great significance.

2. Jesus treats those around him with authority and kindness. It seems that he finds significance in each person he encounters.
"'Come,' he replied, 'and you will see.'
So they went and saw where he was staying, and spent that day with him." John 1:39 Jesus takes his own time to spend with complete stangers. He had never met these men face-to-face before but he still dedicated his whole day to be with them.

3. Jesus takes time and spends his own time with others-even strangers. So often I find myself rushing through life, thinking that I can't slow down for anything-or anyone. Jesus shows us that we should stop and pause for everyone because every person has significance.

From Lindsey Sholander:

1. Jesus gave the people who believed in him the power to become children of God.
Grace and truth came through Jesus
You are Simon son of John you will be called Cephas (Peter)
Do you believe in me because I told you I saw you under a fig tree. You will see greater things then that!

2. Jesus was welcoming and encouraging them to come with him.

3. Instead of just telling my friend about campaigners I invited her to the one this week and i hope that she will like it and wanna continue coming!!!! :)

2. He welcomed the people and treated them with respect and invited them to share a relationship with him.
3. I can invite people into any activity I am doing no matter who they are.
